Anyone noticed Dott has a piece of silver tape around the butt of his cue?

Have to love the vid thumbnails on the bbc site, currently "Carter vs Woolaston" has a pic of John Higgins on it, and Allen vs King has a pic of Stephen Maguire on it.

Is Dott even using the same cue? Im pretty sure it was an ebony butt with maple veneers with 4 lower ebony splices, this looks like ebony, maple veneers and rosewood for the lower splices.

Great win for Mark King, he really put Allen under pressure towards the end. It must be frustrating for Allen to lose in the 1st round for the second year in a row.

We've had a couple of upsets already, and I'm starting to get worried that this tournament might turn out similar to last year. Higgins, Williams and Allen all out, and Maguire is also in trouble. While the players playing the best snooker will always get through, I prefer the business end of a tournament to feature players who have a shot of winning. :wink:
