      • I've heard some commentators mentioning NEW BALLS they are using this year.

What balls are they using now? Does anyone know?

I only know some of the players have complained the balls are a tad too light apparently. World Snooker is not taking up the complaint and refuses to butch...

Willie Thorne just mentioned it, asking Steve about the new balls this year and Steve said nothing basically.

              • Michael White is looking really good in the first 2 frames! I always thought he might win this particular match...think he's the better allround player. Hoping Poomjaeg can get his first frame on the board asap...

Firstly, Ken Doherty v Darren Morgan, 1996 Round 2 frame 12. Frame score 55-46 to Doherty.
Secondly, John Parrott v. Anthony Hamilton, 1997 Round 2 frame 11. Frame score 33-22 to Parrott.

                              • Meanwhile, I wonder how long it is since we've been guaranteed a non-world champion finalist by the end of the first round?
