I get static a lot in my local club {no steel block there} I find its when I wear shoes as opposed to my trainers. If I drag my feet around in shoes I will generate a lot more static. No idea why like, im just a humble bus driver, im no physics expert!! lol

    on another note, did anyone find the following incident a little too close to ungentlemanly conduct {although im certain he didnt mean it}
poomejang played from a red up towards the blue and over-ran it slightly. Apart from his now customary "hands up stop" gesture, he placed his hand on the path the white was taking and ran his hand back as if to try and rough up the nap and slow the white down!!

im certain there was no intent to slow the white down but I would not recommend his actions to be followed. My son was watching it with me and he commented exactly the same. Still, he seems full of fun and just seems to be enjoying himself out there.

bingham all the way for me though!!!!
You may defeat me but I will fight you to the very end!!!!

    • Graeme now only 1 frame behind at 7-6...great job from him this morning! No more shocks to the system neither

Edit : and it's level at 7 frames all. This match is shaping up for a killer last session tonight!

Got to quote you guys, I'm feeling quite stupid having said that Dott could never ever turn it around 7-7, come on Graeme!

            • Yeah, Selby fighting well to get the two-frame lead. I'm sure he will give the last two frames all of his concentration, trying to get to 6-2 after the first session. But in any case, he is definitely not playing his best and most fluent snooker in the 2nd round this time, and perhaps that's a good thing for him.

              • Excellent break from Hawkins.

Will it be he who finishes strongly and gets back to 4-4?

                • ok ok Murphy is "blessed with a lot of cue power" now stop repeating it in every frame

                  • Well...Dott what can you say, he is terrific in these kind of circumstances. Managed to finish the session 6-2 on top to make it 8 all...fan-tas-tic stuff! Can't wait for the last session tonight.

                    • Graeme is very underrated. Of those left in the draw only Ronnie has been in more WC finals than Graeme.

This little man has got some guts. He's played much better and fortunately Murphy didn't play as well as in the first session tonight will be a tough battle, it's impossible to say who will come on top.

Most underrated player on the circuit for sure. I never make that mistake.

My feeling is tonight's session could very well be the most interesting and hard-fought session of the tournament so far...might go all the way.

Now the wait is for Mr Poomjaeng to come out again and put a big grin on all our faces I'm really hoping he will focus on his snooker first though...would be a shame to see him fade out of the tournament without a good strong fight.

                            • Nice frame to finish the session, Hawkins getting an outrageous fluke on the green, but then playing one of the worst positional shots of the week from pink to black, and Selby makes it 5-3. I'm sure he will be happy to at least get some sort of advantage in the first session, as it was very close to going 4-4 in the end.

Right, a nice 45-minute break now, perhaps time to enjoy the good weather outside, then on to the afternoon matches.
