  • amazing silence from the anti trump brigade as Fu is literally getting away with all sorts. Leaving a red over the corner from a poor safety only for the white to flick the pink and land in behind the yellow. Not the first little rub he's had today. Certainly relied on a bit of running but all people talk about is one fluked red from Trump, his only bit of run in this session.

    • That last frame was bad. But all in all Marco Fu looks very focused! Trump played some good safety in the last frame. Fu did have some bad luck when he went into the pack.

      • Virgo constantly trying to be funny, the crowd needlessly sniggering after everything he says...time to get rid of the earpieces please! Need commentary? Watch on TV!

Also strange how nobody has mentioned Fu's childish dart from the arena while Judd was still at the table earlier. If that had been the other way around, or if Ronnie had done it, I'm sure the vultures would have been out ready to pounce.

He played a perfect cannon into the pack off the green, landed on nothing and tied up the black. The way he was playing, he could have cleared up again.

A BBC commentator last night said "Eirian freely admits he is not very good at replacing the balls", also I have noticed that he is using the videoscreen much more now.
                Up the TSF! :snooker:

Whenever you go into the pack you are relying on luck so I don't see how that can be only be looked upon as bad luck as all players will have bad splits and good splits, its a high risk for high gain. However playing a bad safety only for the cueball to flick a ball and land in behind a colour can only be seen as fortunate, he didn't plan the shot, it was pure good luck that he snookered Judd on the only red available.

What about when Fu was clearing up on the frame where he got down and cued up aggressively as if he was going to hit the black hard only to roll it into the corner (trying to take the **** out of Judd. He is playing mind games here and has gone down in my estimation. Also the negative break off he played too as well as this toilet moment. He has shown Judd no respect here at times, think mark Allen was right about his opinions of certain players!

Is this sarcasm? If not, then I doubt it, especially considering how Fu potted the last black in the next frame, mocking Judd. I think it demonstrated that he wasn't happy with the showboating, and didn't want to see another ridiculous black attempt!

                            Edit: completely agree with cueman.

I thought they were very easy in the early days of this tournament, but they seem to be more tough now. Maybe that is a false perception on my part though. Lots of balls seemed to be rattling and going in, but not so much now.
