  • ROS has really yet to settle. Missed a black/green from the spot and never really had position on anything. Carter isn't playing great either.

I was surprised at how people are favoring ROS over say, Trump. Obviously it's early days but ROS has shown nothing to suggest he can go all the way yet, whereas last year he showed glimpses of greatness in all his matches.

Wow! In that case, and if it happened just like you described, then indeed that was imo disrespectful of Marco! But I'll have to see it again myself as well...

      • Oh Selby .. what have you done .... i had 200 dkk on you and you missed a dozen chances to kill the frame off .... ... looks like hawk will take some heart from this now ... interesting match .. much better than ROS vs Carter

          • Interesting about Fu....though tbh I do like that sort of thing. It makes it interesting because now the match will have become personal. I've gained an interest in the match simply by reading the comments on here and if the BBC can highlight these incidents, they'll attract more viewers.

            People love a rivalry.

as long as he is in the tournament he has a chance to improve and win the tournament

and his C game is as good as most of the players C game believe it or not

I didn't realise snooker had become WWE all of a sudden.

                  • so ROS needs to be potting balls off the lampshade to have a chance? Trump as played nearly 2 matches so far so it's a bit early to judge ROS

                          That's a tad......dramatic?

We're talking about a player mimicking his opponent and walking out of the arena early - if that's too 'edgy' for snooker then it really has no chance of attracting a young, mainstream audience in the UK.

Of course not, but he's not shown enough to be considered the clear favorite.

I think you meant ROS's C game is as good as most players B/A game

he has definitely settled into the match quicker than Ali
                            Up the TSF! :snooker:

No it would actually be far too dramatic for the media to make a 'rivalry' out of it when that clearly isn't the case atm. It would also be very unfair to the players to make out there was some sort of personal issue when it may well be completely nonexistent.

                              • ROS is such a clever player. Just gentle little nudges here and there and suddenly he's got another frame in the bag.
He makes it look so easy.
