Ugh Selby haters bore me to tears...more so than Selby bores them to tears. To be honest his A game is quick, free flowing & attacking, much like all the top players. The difference is that he knows when he isn't firing and can adjust his game accordingly (something some of the younger guys could do with learning). Say what you like about him, but Selby is one of the most versatile players on the circuit & fully deserving of his ranking

But he can never consistantly bring this 'a' game that you talk about. More often than not, especially against other good players we see him resort to this grinding more than any other player in modern game history. Its not talent or grit, even Graeme Dott has more talent than Selby and plays more aggressively. This is a gameplan from Selby to try and make the game scrappy as he sees that as playing to his strengths. Personally I don't find that kind of play good for the game, some people will like it but overall I'm glad that most players play with skill rather than trying to drag the other player down.
