    • Wow....Hawkins just bottled that shot. Effectively frame ball to go 12-10.

      Got another chance though....

          • 12-10 to Barry it is then. Strangely I still fancy Selby though.

                • I just cant understand how on earth can selby be so poor ... hawkins has bottled it in every single frame as expected of him .. the guy has no balls at all ... but Selby .... not very long ago I have seen him play world class stuff but he is missing shots even I would not ... weird to say the least ... anyway ... come on Selby ... we need you for the rest of the tournament ... hawkins is decent but does not belong

                  • Hawkins just looks so.....average. If Selby raises his game just slightly he'll win this.

                    • surprised that selby took the green on thought he would snooker barry

now what a chance barry has

                      • Cannot believe that green, goes back on how he's played every other frame so far this session. Goodbye Mr. Selby.

                        • Pretty good finish for Carter, he could have had a much better result had he played like that all session. It will be interesting to see if he gets nervy again tomorrow, especially if O'Sullivan wins a frame or two in one visit.

He's had a very lucky career and it would be a tradgedy for the game for him to win the WC and this triple crown given his limited ability.
LOL, and yet you thought he was "invincible" a couple of months ago, making him a big favourite for the WC. You even wanted rules to be brought in to limit Selby's success.

A fluke is usually a result of a positive shot, therefore you get what you deserve for playing positively. However Selby quite often plays negative shots that turn out lucky or missing balls and leaving nothing. That is far more lucky than a fluked pot IMO.

Nobody mentioned Judd being unlucky getting a kick on the blue, that left the white on the cushion, then potting a great red only to go in off another leaving Marco a chance to get back into the frame! AS I said its only what you see and not the reality, he has far worse run than a lot of players.
Do I smell double standards here..?

Er not quite. I said that rules should be brought in to stop him slowing the game down to try and get into the head of his opponent, something Graeme Dott mentioned this week about his match with Ebdon, so there must be something in this that players are deliberately time wasting and using gamesmanship instead of getting on with the game.

I said he was one of the favourites because so many players leading up to it seemed out of form. Still don't feel anyone is showing top form right now but Selby isn't going to get away with this kind of form and win it. HE has bottled it big time and I don't think his opponents are going to let him off the hook like they have done in the UK and Masters which he was very fortunate to win.
