I just cant understand how on earth can selby be so poor ... hawkins has bottled it in every single frame as expected of him .. the guy has no balls at all ... but Selby .... not very long ago I have seen him play world class stuff but he is missing shots even I would not ... weird to say the least ... anyway ... come on Selby ... we need you for the rest of the tournament ... hawkins is decent but does not belong

Pretty good finish for Carter, he could have had a much better result had he played like that all session. It will be interesting to see if he gets nervy again tomorrow, especially if O'Sullivan wins a frame or two in one visit.

A fluke is usually a result of a positive shot, therefore you get what you deserve for playing positively. However Selby quite often plays negative shots that turn out lucky or missing balls and leaving nothing. That is far more lucky than a fluked pot IMO.
Nobody mentioned Judd being unlucky getting a kick on the blue, that left the white on the cushion, then potting a great red only to go in off another leaving Marco a chance to get back into the frame! AS I said its only what you see and not the reality, he has far worse run than a lot of players.

LOL, and yet you thought he was "invincible" a couple of months ago, making him a big favourite for the WC. You even wanted rules to be brought in to limit Selby's success.
I said he was one of the favourites because so many players leading up to it seemed out of form. Still don't feel anyone is showing top form right now but Selby isn't going to get away with this kind of form and win it. HE has bottled it big time and I don't think his opponents are going to let him off the hook like they have done in the UK and Masters which he was very fortunate to win.
