Nice finish from O'Sullivan. Even at 8-8 his chances would still have been good at the business end of the match, but now that Carter was so close to winning the session and just failed to do so, I think O'Sullivan will do the business tomorrow. Kind of like against Williams from a similar position in 2008.

Looking forward to the O'sullivan - Carter conclusion tomorrow evening, Ronnie starts to shine in the final frame of the session shame he couldn't play like that the rest of the match. Take nothing away from Ali though he was playing well himself.

What a steal that was at 4-4. Carter will be kicking himself.

I'm a huge ROS fan, but I'm going to hype him up when he's not playing well.Last edited by Ronnie's tip; 28 April 2013, 04:02 PM.

Willie said "this is missable" 3 times there. But alas, he potted it!
I wish someone would tell Willie that the "top cushion" is the one located at the "top end", not the one at the top of his screen.
Still, it's not all bad, at least we've got Neal Foulds - great commentator in my view.

What's that got to do with how he's playing?

I do think O'Sullivan's performance was pretty terrible that session, bar the odd bit of brilliance. To share it 4-4 and come out 9-7 is one heck of a result, especially since Carter played fantastic at times.
A lot gets made of O'Sullivan's body language and demeanor, but I think Carter's needs to be commented on. Every time he makes a mistake he seems to really beat himself up, literally at times, such as him whacking himself on the head when he missed a hard long red. He also seems to be under the childish delusion that the whole world is against him, sulking at any bit of misfortune he has and and fortune ROS has, despite him clearly having his fair share of run. It's something I first noticed during last year's tournament with his bullying of Judd Trump with his extremely witty 'luck Trump' comments on Twitter and his sarcastic clapping during the match. I don't know whether it's because of the hard card he's been dealt in life with his Chrohn's Disease that makes him think like that, but he needs to cut it out, not only does it make him look a prat it also affects his game negatively.
