Ding is such a fantastic player when he's playing his A-game. Great to watch.

I like Carter but I've heard him say that he doesn't really socialise with very many of the other players and in fact has little or nothing to do with any of them away from the table. I can understand why you wouldn't want to be too friendly with your rivals but on the other hand, it must be nice to have people to go out for a drink or a meal with when they are away, say playing in China, Australia or wherever. Be a bit lonely otherwise.

What a masterclass of snooker that was from Ding!
As much as I enjoy all the great shot-makers of the game, the rockets and the pistols and various kinds of winds and thunders, the finesse Ding has when breakbuilding is tremendous. He played like a professor today.

Ding really should make the final, he won't get a better chance. With Allen, Maguire, Selby and Robertson out things couldn't have worked out better for him. There's a huge gulf in class between Ding and all the other remaining players in that half of the draw. I expect him to walk it as long as he keeps his head.

superb from Ding, one of the best players around when in among the balls at the business end of the table,
i think it could be his year, as long as he keeps his head and doesn't get caught up in scrappy matches, as this is what he doesn't like. he can get frustrated and lose focus.
i think that a Trump final would suite him as they are both attacking players would be great to watch
