Yes. It's one of his few flaws.
"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

    • Been looking at some of the scores, seems to be far fewer scrappy games this year compared to previous, a lot of frames being one in one visits. Standard seems pretty similar for all the players this year. Hard one to call as to who will win it

i think that a Trump final would suite him as they are both attacking players would be great to watch
I would agree with all of the above, Ding took his chances very well yesterday but aside from his two centuries, he looked woeful in the first session, that would be a bit of a worry as I think King didn't play his safety game well yesterday or in the first session either really. Hawkins is sure to improve on his potting display against selby and his safety game is normally extremely strong so Ding might have his hands full in that respect as I do feel he can be easy to keep with an effective safety game and as the above poster has said, he gets frustrated a tad easily

        • I see Ali Carter was saying that thier is Not Only Ronnie O' Sullivan playing in this tornament to the BBC and telling them to give other players more respect like himself, Ali is right they were 32 players at the start of the tornament, but was he also trying to get more publicity for himself as well plus he as reached two finals and made a 147 cruciable break in the past.
Ronnie O' Sullivan seven times the record breaking Snooker Master

          • I'm going to the Crucible on Friday afternoon - does anyone know if Betfair have betting facilities there as BetFred have done in previous years?

Ali is definitely right to say this, I think the Beeb are guilty of overhyping the performances of the big names left in the tournament ie Ronnie, Judd & Ding. That's not to say they are not playing well but it is sometimes rose tinted.

Brilliant, I wonder if some of his build up comments wind players up, I have noticed on occasions the odd player pulling a face when he talking about them pre walk in.

                    • Good start again from Ding. He couldn't win it in one visit, but two visits were enough, Mark King not really getting a shot.

                      • Good start by Ding there, King didn't really put him under pressure when he broke down the first time but he scored heavily on both opportunities.

Bingham/Davis looks to have started at a better standard than yesterday, both have got amongst the balls well

                        • Ding's safety game is slacking here.

Its never really been that good by professional standards and I think it is one of the reasons he's only gone beyond the 2nd round here once,

True but he can do better than what he has displayed in the last two frames. His potting is off a bit too at the moment.

I thougt the same. His introduction of Rob Milkins was shocking IMO. Saying he's "got his life sorted out..." Really? And like who are YOU, Rob Walker, to comment upon that to Joe Public? I know he's only doing his job but I can't help but feel that most of the players probably think he's a bit of a tit. He certainly 'aint no Alan Hughes, that is for sure!
