Trump showed great battling quality last evening. It's always nice to go all square to the last session. From a snooker fan point of view, at least. Murphy might disagree.

Yes, I think so too. Trump is a great potter, but the rest of his game, especially his positional play, is not good enough to beat Ronnie in his current form in a long match.

I hope murphy beats him. Good god i do. Failling that Ronnie will pound him. I like how when he loses the media and Trump fans say "xxxxxxx beat an out of sorts Trump" presumably cos they run out of excuses for him hammering them at a pocket, missing by a foot, coming off 5 cushions and fluking it in a different pocket.

Does anyone know why the Ding Hawkins match has successive sessions at the expense of Walden and White,is it because of the Chinese audience? Not overly fair there eh?

Doubt it as the sessions are pre-assigned before the tournament so they would have had to assume Ding getting to the quarters if that is the case

I fear if Hawkins doesn't win today he will look back on frame 14 as being a turning point 9-5 would have been a tough ask for Ding

I'm hoping for a Trump v Ding final personally. Ronnie likes to play down finals and pretend none of it matters. I dunno, this is probably how he DOES see these big occasions, but I fear he'd probably under-perform or lose interest.

I want a Ding vs Judd final too.

And a Ding win.

I'm a big fan of Ronnie, but a bit of a comeback from Stuart would be nice. Looking unlikely now though, particularly as Ronnie's long game seems to be back this morning.
