Ding is just not good enough to win a world title. I don't think he'll ever win it because his all round game is just not strong enough. He's a great breakbuilder when the balls are in traditional positions but make the frame scrappy and he just doesn't have the talent or patience in order to win these vital frames. Hawkins is just playing solid match snooker, as solid as anyone has played but it won't be enough to beat a Ronnie or Trump. He should make it past Walden who I suspect will be his opponent in the semi final but what a travesty of the biggest prize in the game that none of the so called big guns had it in them to make a final.

Selby, Robertson, Maguire, Ding, all massively over rated IMO. Good when the pressure is off but massive bottlers when its on.

Completely agree with all of the above re:the final but not about Selby and Robertson being over-rated, as backer of Hawkins I will be happy to see him in the final financially but I can't see him pick up the title against ronnie or trump

Ronnie's playing so good at the moment that it's frightening, really. If he plays like that in the semis (or final) there's nobody who can stop the guy. People say that Trump's a talent but he's nothing, I repeat nothing, compared to what we are witnessing right now.

I remember some doubters and haters on this forum saying stuff like "wouldn't it be funny if Ronnie lost in the first round" and all. I'm glad Ronnie found his game and proved them wrong. I understand the hype around O'Sullivan can be too much, but you can't deny what a genius he is. There has never been anyone who made snooker look this easy.
