feeling for Judd here, dunno how many kicks he's had but its really knocking his confidence and concentration. I refuse to believe this is bad cueing for a guy that generates the type of cue power he does one thing he can do is time a ball well. This is just pure and simple bad luck and they should be looking at changing this cloth because as Willie mentioned last night it is playing very poor.

Surely if one player is getting a lot more kicks than the other and they are having similar table times, then its more than just bad luck? I am not watching the match as at work but not sure I see the logic of it being all bad luck

It can't be bad luck to have 9 kicks against your opponents zero. That being said I don't know what the cause is.
Trump will be happy to just get over the line there. I think he had the first scoring chance in 10 out of 12 frames so far, but he always seems to mess up position or miss a sitter on about 20. Either that or he gets a kick.
Can one of them finally pull away after the interval?
3 amazing chances for Ronnie in that frame, but messed them all up. 7-7.
Neither player is playing that well, but you feel that Trump is the one more likely to get in the groove quicker. ROS looks nervous.

Ronnie has had kicks they just haven't mentioned them. He had a huge kick on the frame he won to go 6-5 when he screwed the white and fluked the pink after. Also he has a had a few jumps but they haven't been as costly to upset his position or cost him the pot.
I'm glad Virgo eventually figured out who was in front in that frame. I can just imagine Hendry sitting there embarrassed to say anything because Virgo was messing up so bad.
Anyway, pretty scrappy session from both players this morning. Judd needs to step up his game in the next mini session and get a lead because I doubt he'll get Ronnie playing worse than this.

In fairness, you could say the same about ROS. If Judd starts banging them in, then ROS is in major trouble.

ROS is one of the few players who doesn't moan about kicks or big bounces, at least compared to other players.

I'm not so sure, Trump is the kind of player who keeps Ronnie on edge, he's defintely playing the opponent rather than the table like he has done his first 3 matches. If this was Walden or Hawkins then Ronnie would be about 10-2 up by now. The only players who Ronnie doesn't get his way against are Judd and Selby, anyone else and he has their number.
