      • Ronnie playing average, but got to the MSI at 2-2. Gotta be pleased with that.

        • BBC's little skits have been so dull this year. Is this Terry Griffiths video going to attract casual fans?

          • ronnie should aim to win the session 5-4 or 6-3

            • This is a big mini session now. Come on Ronnie!

Though if it carries on like the last mini-session, Hawkins will win it. Probably 6-3.

Against both players however Trump has got many. If that doesn't prove that kicks are the result of bad cueing then I don't know what does.
care to tell me why Ronnie has been getting quite a few kicks already in this final? Say what you like kicks aren't down to cueing, its purely luck when they happen. You simply cannot predict them nor guarantee you won't get one.

                • Frame to Hawkins. 7-6.

ROS just isn't at it, again.

                    • OK, hands up, whose 2013 WCs have been ruined by the hype surrounding Ronnie O'Sullivan?

Maybe ruined is too strong a word, but I'm certainly sick to the back teeth of hearing about it.

And would someone please explain why Hazel et al are constantly banging on about how amazing it would be if he were to win, simply based on the fact that he hasn't played competitively for the last 11 months. We're constantly hearing ridiculous claims like it being one of the most amazing stories in sport, unprecedented/unheard of achievement...

FFS! 'one of the most amazing stories in sport' Why the hell is it?? No one is more naturally gifted at this game than Ronnie - that's just a fact that few would bother to dispute - so why are they putting so much emphasis on the fact that he hasn't played for 11 months? So what??

I really am struggling to see what all the fuss is about.

The problem is there's nothing else to talk about. All the big names this year flopped.

                          • what ronnie's tip said. No top 16 player barring Hawkins has played anywhere near like they have done this season. The fact Ronnie was fresh and able to prepare has definitely been a major advantage. He hasn't got any battle scars, he's been able to perfect his game in practice and of course he has the fear factor which also plays a large part in his opponents mindset. They are beaten before they play him, despite many saying they aren't.

Yep me too...it's very annoying. Like you say ROS' talent will give him a natural ability to play well, even when out for months at a time. I have far more respect for those who work hard all year long, travel many thousands of miles to overseas countries, and practice inbetween matches. BBC ofcourse needs to hype things up...it's the nature of the (tv) game nowadays...it's all part of 'the show'. I personally don't care for it. That's why I want (and pray ) for Barry to win...that and the fact that Barry is just such a nice guy...and a very good player to boot.

Hendry hit the nail on the head earlier. He has played well as the underdog in all his matches but the semi against walden he was probably expected to win and suffered from the occassion and pressure of that. Now he's the biggest underdog in this final he has simply just gone out there with no expectations and just played the table.
