He states that he was informed about the game from a contact that emailed him back in 2005; he found a poorly translated (from Brazilian) and used that until Oct 2008 when a player of the game (Guilherme Mauricio) helped him correct the information.

Often just called Sinuca.

I managed to track down the official rules of Sinuca Brasileira, dated 13 March 1999, published by the Confederação Brasileira de Bilhar e Sinuca. I'll be looking for someone to help me with the translation into English. I've created a topic for the search.

I have paid for the 1965 Official Rule Book for all Pocket and Carom Billiards Games, published by the Billiard Congress of America. Waiting for delivery in late October or early November. In the 1925 American snooker rules, fouls are scored as in regular English snooker. I wonder when all fouls became 7 points? I hope the 1965 booklet has the American snooker rules. I can't find any information on when the foul scoring rules were changed.

It's not 'snooker in America', it's 'American snooker'. There's a big difference. Both English snooker under WPBSA rules and American snooker are played in US. They are different games with different rules.

The first published rules of American snooker were in 1925. They're here: https://allaboutsnooker.info/american-snooker-rules/. Fouls count as in regular snooker. I want to know in what year the rules were changed and all fouls became 7 points.

I published the rules of American snooker for 1965. All fouls are 7 points. Does anyone know when this rule was adopted? It's been 40 years since the rules were first published, which is a long time.
