  • Looking for three Crucible frame scores

There are three Crucible frames for which, try as I might, I have been unable to trace the score. This creates an annoyingly small hole in my Sheffield stat bank!

I'm hoping that somebody out there might have a source which details the frame scores for the following three frames:

1978 - Thorburn v. Houlihan, second session Monday evening 17 April
Snooker Scene (June 1978) give eight frame scores of this second session but in fact it was a nine-frame session. Cue World (May 1978) reports the match but does not give frame scores. The missing frame score is one of the 5 which Thorburn won, but I don't know which one. The ones I have are (Thorburn first):
    115-8, 76-46, 7-68, 40-62, 86-19, 20-110, 78-27, 25-79

1978 - Reardon v. Mountjoy, second session Monday evening 17 April
Snooker Scene again gives eight scores but nine frames were played, while Cue World reports the match but gives no scores. The first went to Mountjoy and it is therfore one of the 7 out of the next 8 that Reardon won. I have:
    22-70, 62-34, 75-18, 65-45, 71-43, 49-42, 13-89, 55-41

1982 - Thorne v. Spencer, second session Saturday morning 8 May
The problem here is Frame 15, which Snooker Scene (June 1982) gives as 18-45 with Thorne, who had the 18, making a 38 break! Even without this obvious error it seems rather low-scoring, particularly for the period. I know it is a frame that Spencer won, and the following frame marks Thorne as having two 14 breaks - only breaks of 30+ are recorded so I've assumed that it is actually 38-45 for frame fifteen and two 34 breaks in frame 16 but I don't really know!
Does anyone have other magazines of this period because this is the only source I have.

If anyone is able to help I'd be more than grateful!

I'll have a look Chris. I've got some paper records that an "old" anorak gave me a few years ago - trouble is I'm not sure which packing box they might be in!
