Looking back, many hours of research work went into these two threads and they are lovely to look back at. I have often thought how great it would be for it to be condensed into a book to preserve this "golden age" for all time. There are many, many photographs available which would supplement the text. It'd take a lot of time and effort but it'd be such a worth while exercise to preserve the sport's history.
