Thought I'd share this link of the '97 ROS vs Hendry Charity match, which in my opinion is a classic and worth a watch if you've seen it or not: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as2VCBa15KA enjoy :snooker:
"You have to play the game like it means nothing, when in fact it means everything to you" Steve Davis.
This was during the most intense period of competition at a high level (i.e. 5 or 6 players consistently producing top class snooker) between 1996/7 and 2003/4. It was no longer just a world no.1 you could rely on producing high quality snooker on a consistent basis.
Also by then there was by then more than one outstanding player on the circuit compared to previous periods in which there always only the one outstanding player of the era around.

Thanks for the link . . . Great to watch!
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins. I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)
O'Sullivan and Hendry along with John Higgins and Williams were involved in a lot of classic matches around that time, producing outstanding snooker in the process.
Add Doherty, Ebdon, Stevens and Hunter all performing superbly well also in 1996/7 to 2003/4, snooker fans could not get things any better.
No problem mate, I've seen this match about 5 times now and I certainly never get bored of it! :snooker:
I have watched it 5 times now too. So good to watch! Snooker at its best. It is a shame someone had to lose this match.
