  • Starting a cue collection

    Hi All,

I'm thinking of starting a cue collection, does anyone have any advice. Which cues to collect age, condition, makes, the rare cues, possible values, where to find etc etc . Any advice would be really appreciated.

Hi Jim, just bought one of ebay to test the water, probably paid to much? Its a Joe Davis 600th break ash cue with the 600 in red, what do you think and do you have any history on the cue's age?

Have a look at this link: http://www.cuesnviews.com/content/es...cue-collection and the rest of the site. Some great info on there.

            the bible: http://www.thecuecollector.com/

plenty of cues around in the £30-£50 market, always a way to start
if i was starting again from scrach I'd say don't try and buy "perfect cues", you can pick up lots of "OK" cues, then upgrade later

            *forgot to add*
stay away from any buy-it-now/best-offer auctions unless you check the price with someone first, plenty of people stick cues up for several times their price on best offer, hoping a novice collector will offer something daft for it! I know I did...
