Balls are great! The Aramith cleaner did actually reduce the kicks quite a lot, I only tend to get the odd one on slow run through shots now if I let the cue ball get caked with chalk.

Yeah pocket weight run through shots are kicks waiting to happen.
I seem to be getting more kicks recently and I’ve been trying to work out what’s changed . The only things that have is that I’ve used some Aramith cleaner on my 3g’s and changed my tip from Elkmaster to Century.
I’ve also noticed I’ve been wiping away much more chalk marks(Triangle ) from the table since changing tips .
Anyone else use Century tips and notice an increase in kicks ?
In our club the balls are now put through the glass washer and dried after every customer has used them, the kicks have reduced a lot but that's also down to the cloths being very worn and faster; tables were due to be recovered but the lockdown and lack of money has put a stop to that. You can do all you can to reduce the Aramith kicks but these balls are not up to the standard of the original SC's which is why the pro game went to very fine naps and table heaters once the SC's were no longer made and Aramith became the ball endorsed by the WBPSA.
Any increase in the resistance between the balls whether by a heavier nap or atmospheric conditions will make the game a lottery; we all saw this during the world championships, it was humid and balls contacted slightly thicker a lot of the time and there were more serious bad contacts and kicks due to extra moisture in the air clinging more easily to the rougher surface of the softer phenolic resin, thus attracting more chalk and dirt. Ronnie changed chalk to Taom, switched back to Master and eventually blamed his cue action, but personal form and sessions were decided on humidity levels at the time.
If you play with Aramith balls then you need to keep them clean and polished on a finely napped, well brushed and ironed table in a well ventilated room, which is what's not going to happen if our club recovers and the tables are reclothed because they always use a heavy cloth that will last about two years and the Aramith balls will be absolutely awful until the nap wears down a bit and that's why I use my own set of original SC's.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Are you chalking every shot? I get some on the table mainly with screw shots.. using an Elkmaster tip here. Humidity levels maybe??
I had correspondence with Saluc Aramith some years ago and they did not recommend cleaning the balls in dish / glass washers because the temps where too high and would degrade the balls.
of course they recommended their own product restore and polish
they said to use their restorer if the balls have been through such machines

I always chalk my cue so much so I don’t even realize I’ve done it !.
Had a game today and we both had a few kicks , we had a discussion about it and we both agreed it probably more to do with atmospheric conditions than anything .

I would agree with that! I’ve noticed that when the humidity stat is above 65 the table seems slow and if the balls are not cleaned from the previous day I start to get some kicks on slow shots.
The new table will be getting a Hotwire style system fitted so hopefully that help!
