Hello folks,

Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch yesterdays final (only slightly disappointed now though) and I am wondering what on earth happened with Yan Bingtao. Not the result that I was expecting.

Your views will enlighten me I'm sure.

Yan was just poor. Way short of his normal standard. Happens to everyone sometimes. You just feel “flat” and no matter how hard you try nothing seems to work. Every run of the ball seems to go against you. He’ll be back.

Thank you Nifty50, I was expecting it to be very close with Yan taking it by the odd frame. As you say, he will be back.
