Hell folks, just wondering what you feel is the best glue to be used for tip replacement please.

I ended up wasting a lot of the last tube that I purchased because it had gone hard in the nozzle and I couldn't clear it. I usually try to clear it by pushing a needle or pin into the nozzle to make sure it's clear before I screw the top on. Doesn't always work though.

Is the runny or gel type the best?

    Many thanks.

Loctite Super Glue. Gives you like 15-20 seconds approx before it sets. Not suitable for warmer weather conditions like India though. Will go dry. Suitable for UK's climate.

Loctite Super Glue GEL Repositionable / PowerGel
I find the bottles with the "squeeze-sides" last longer than a "normal-tube"

Thanks chaps. Do you use Amazon for this or do you use a snooker accessories shop?

Reputed sellers on ebay or amazon with good feedback or try your local snooker accessories shop, they might stock it.

I use loctite gel. I get the option which has 3 very small 1g tubes in the pack. It is cheap, does a few tips, and if it goes hard you can just open another one.

There the ones I use too ,at least you don’t lose much by not using it for a bit ,as you say very small tubes .

It dries out there too. I thought it was here that we had that problem.

I purchased a bottle of the Gorilla Gel Glue which seems to be fine but, the packaging says 24 hours for full cure. I'm sure I've heard that people start playing with their cue almost immediately after putting a new tip on. What glue do they use to achieve this, anyone know?

I’ve only used superglue and yes you can play straight away if the tip is correctly glued on.
A good test to see if the glue is curing is the finger test….. if they stick together in under 10 secs then your good to go …😉

I use Z-Poxy 30 minute epoxy resin glue which gives you plenty of time.
You can get five minute epoxy resin glue if you're in a hurry, like with all epoxy it has to be mixed but much better and safer than super glue.
