  • Snooker stamina

Hi guys. This is my first post here so go easy on me haha. I’ve been playing pool competitive for a decade and got decent results there but transitioned to snooker now. One thing I realise is the focus is really different here. Typically I could last an hour or 2 hours on a table for one set of pool and play 3 sets a day throughout 6 hours or so. But now in snooker I find myself losing focus playing a best of 3 after my first frame.

I can make a 20-30 break on my first frame maybe getting 60-70 points lead on my opponent but then on the second frame I can’t pot any colours following up on the reds I make. I feel like it’s the stamina of my focus which obviously demands more kena snooker table. Any one has advice how I can build on this

Could be the standard of opponent, it's very easy to lose focus if you are beating players by seventy points a frame. You could give your opponent a handicap start to keep you focused.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Maybe with pool your concentration is more focused on setting up that "out" to win the frame...but with snooker you have to score, and sometimes its a case of taking what is there and playing safe so you need a more compartmentalized approach to Winning a frame. Maybe see it more as focusing on 3 racks of pool to win one frame..? Just gotta focus when you have your chances, every chance is smaller pool rack .
