Legends x hard pressed tips, Talisman wb laminated mediums but they get shiny and don't take chalk very well. Triple crown x hard pressed tips but they are all very expensive. I have not tried triple crown yet though. Grand hard pressed tips and they are cheaper too, buy them in 10mm though.

      All tips mushroom eventually.

In Pakistan these tips are not available. Talisman century elK BD and omin tips are available. Laminated tips are not available here

As I said, use sandpaper then shape it using a tip tool like Willards and burnish the sides. Put a new harder tip on, that one is a goner. When putting a new tip on, make sure the base of the ferrule and tip are flat.

Maybe you trimmed it too much that side. Better to change it.

Appreciate your response thanks. Here is the pics when I finished shaping tip. You can see its uneven from one particular point. This happen to me on every single tip I have ever installed on the cue. This is where tip will change its shape. I have no clue what i am doing wrong. If I install a new tip it will happen to that one too. Looking forward for your kind feedback

I would suspect bad quality tips. Change them to something more reliable.

This happens on century G3 tips. They are pretty good tips I guess I have tried 3-4 tips but this is where I am stuck now

Not the best on the market and check if you have bought the genuine tips and not copies. Either way I would try another tip brand.

I think your work looks good, very neat and tidy, so I think it must be the tips you are using. With an Elk (or any pressed tip) if you can dig your thumb nail into the side of it then it's no good, it's a bad tip. If you have a box or a few tips, tap the top of the tip on a hard surface (like kitchen worktop etc) you want to hear and nice crisp tick noise when you tap it. If it sounds dull, again the tip is not a good one. Usually means the fibres in the leather have not compressed properly in the manufacture process. You will find this with many Elks, only a few good ones in a box these days.

These are worth trying if delivered to your location. Very cheap so worth trying, lots of good reviews from users on this forum and they fit and keep shape very well.

Check the cue tip guide from ADR.

I don't know what your trying to point out. If your complaining one side of the tip flattens compared to the other after playing, that happens with all tips. If you use your cue the same way up every shot you are hitting the same part of the tip every stun and screw shot, so of course it will flatten. The flattening will be less once the tip beds in as it will be compressed so harder to flatten. If you don't want to go through this bedding in process buy a tip clamp/compressor tool they are handy things.

I very much doubt that a slightly uneven tip would make you miss lots of balls. I'm always surpised when I pick up a ropey looking rack cue and can almost pot as many balls as with my own cue. That said, I think you need to keep the tip longer. That way you can reshape the tip after you've played it in or if is becomes a little mis-shapen. Most tips, especially softer ones, need a little reshape after a few hours from new.
