I've been watching this tournament regularly from 7am all week either live or recorded. I see from the live scores on snooker.org that the final is well underway with Ronnie leading at the moment but, it's not on TV until 6pm tonight. Anyone know why that is please?

Because Eurosport (British) has been bought out by Discovery Channel and they want you to pay an extortionate amount for Discovery+ online application to watch, so they tease you till the end and then put other sports on instead on the TV.

I would also say, if you are going to watch the highlights, well worth doing so

That's why having a Eurosport subscription is so worth the money, 40 euros for a year and you get all snooker you want, i'd say if you have one streaming videos subscription worth it's money it's this one.

in Europe it maybe, but here in UK to get Eurosport you now have to get Discovery+ subscription - Standard package (that includes Eurosport)) at £6.99/month = £83.88/year; sorry but that is not value as I don't want the rest of the channels.

I only have the basic Sky package but I managed to sign up for a Discovery+ account and wasn't asked for any money - I guess it must be included?

I tried this last year, as Sky said that I could with my Sky package but nothing worked

Maybe it was "too new" then, may try again another day

I signed up through the app in the Apps section on the Sky Q dashboard so perhaps try that way.

I did this months back and couldn’t find any snooker at that time, thanks to your post I’ve checked back in and now there’s a lot of sport available. Thanks for the post!

No problem Crafty, there's an IOS app too if you have an Apple phone, not sure about Android. I'm usually relegated to watching on there while the TV is being used for gaming
