ronnie o sullivan or alex higgins??
i know ronnie is better, but the most natural??
Can't answer this question but last year I had some coaching from Del Hill and asked him who (in his opinion) was the most natural player that he had ever seen and his reply?????...................Tony Drago!!
with Respect to Tony Drago i believe he played fast to copy his hero Jimmy White and the speed he played at wasent his natrual pace because he just over played shots and missed due to his speed if that was Natrual he wouldnt miss some of the shots he did miss.
for Me Ronnie O'Sullivan shades Alex Higgins with Jimmy White in 3rd Place.

yes, I agree with you but Drago was Dels choice.........I would also have to agree with your three choices in that order, O'sullivan, Higgins, White
yes its a tough choice,i would lean towards alex though.he played an exhibition match last month in Ireland,he is old and deshelived looking really ill,he still got 3 centuries that night and nobody took a frame off him!!
with a really poor shakey technique he was great.
Obviously everyone will have different choices and opinions but speaking as someone who grew up in the Alex Higgins era......and so watched Jimmy White from when he was a young kid (I first watched him play at Zans in London when he was 11) and then at his very best I would have to choose Alex Higgins every time. The guy played the most incredible shots that I have ever seen.......I am now in my 50s and have still never seen anything better than some of Alex's amazing shots......I went to an exhibition at a club in the north-east back in 1972 when Alex first became World Champion and that nights snooker was still the best snooker that I have ever seen in my entire life.
Mind you, I still think that Ronnie has got more natural talent!!

that is impresive for a 60 year old that has been through the mill with illness.....
ok in a exibition and i know moondan points out pockets on exibition tables arent as tight as championship tables but even so pretty good and shows players can do it at any age but the older you get the worst nerves plays a part in championship play.
yes,i cant argue with you on that,no one could fault ronnie's play.alex layed the foundations then jimmy and tony drago then ronnie brought it on to the next level.
p.s. dont leave out kirk stephens!!
It's a close call but Ronnie is the most natural player of all time, he can play every shot in the book with incredible ease.
Alex Higgins follows closely behind. RocketRoy mentioned Alex's 69 which is still great to watch even after 27 years but i also enjoy watching his 102 he made in 1972 which featured in the 'hurricane Higgins' documentary. Last but not least the left handed genius Jimmy White.
"Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."
Sitting in his chair feeling a little uneasy, feeling a little out of place...
Takes a quick sip of water. Sighs. For once, not chawing on his cuticles, he raises his cue...
looks down at it, staring intently, lost in the swirl of the burl... gazing into it like a crystal ball...
"Sit down in your chair Mr. Sullivan." Said the voice in the distance, hidden amongst the cowd shouting: "RONNIE RONNIE RONNIE!" almost un-noticed, as the final black on the 147 slotted its way into the leather backed heart of the pocket with a "THWAK!"
"I do apologise, it was a good 147 but the one that followed by Mr. White was the one that made the history as the crowd hushed down like a silent lamb before the roar of "JIMMY! JIMMY! JIMMY!"
Ahhhhh, those were the days, eh Mate?
In fact, "Go get him, Jimmy" still echoes through almost empty venues...

I highly doubt that. Jimmy is only 3 years older than Tony, so I'm not sure about the hero thing either. Tony said in a number of interviews that he didn't like to take his time over the shots because he than started to see problems, which weren't there. It is also somewhat misleading to say he missed shots because he played too fast, as he played every shot very fast and every player misses eventually. Saying he missed many crucial shots because he was awful with the rest would have been a lot more accurate. Also not sure about how missing 'some' shots makes one less natural, it's more a case of lack of concentration/bottle. Like with the infamous black Jimmy missed against Hendry in the WC final.
So, apart from the obvious choices already listed what about Cliff Wilson? I think he's right up there as well.
