What’s a decent tip these days , I’ve had a Super tip on for 7 years now but it far too soft , I did try a top from Elliot Slessor which was like a stone so I’m thinking a medium would be perfect
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

I tried Century tips and loved it to start with even though it took some adjustment because of the increase in deflection I got from them. They just take too much maintenance and near constant reshaping so I switched to a different brand. That's my experience of them anyway. I'm now on Legends GM Firm Medium G-Spin from Mark Williams' website, £25.95 for 3 including postage and they arrived quickly. Had it on for a couple of months and get so much reaction from the white, I think I'll be sticking with this brand for a while.

Aside from all this I know people say Elkmaster tips aren't what they used to be and you get more duds than good ones but I still like them for a standard nothing special tip.

I have an Asia? Tip on, it's a medium, it feels hardish to me but it plays well.
Geordie how the hell have you had a tip on for seven years! What are playing, one shot a week?
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I stopped buying silly expensive Tips couple of years ago now. I buy Tom classic tips off Darren Lowe ( member on here and sells on eBay as DLCustoms )

about £2 each last I bought. Play great, bit like an old Blue Diamond 💎 ahhh those were the days!!!

I’ve tried the tips from Andrew Pagget „AP exotic“ in medium, but they were hard like a stone. Can’t imagine what the hard ones will play. Unplayable for me.
then I switched to the „triple crown tips“ and these tips are nice. They can be competed with the first charge of G3 CC tips. Nice sound and a good amount of spin but not too much. I play the medium one and played the soft one before. The soft was a little bit too responsive and my screw shots were too long.

I’ve tried the Asia tips too and had the same feel: hardish but nice reaction. I have some tips here and will play them when I want a harder feeling. I change quite often my tips

i've started playing 8 ball pool (don't shoot me guys) and have a Century G2 on my pool cue, it seemed really hard initially but I think just took a bit of playing in as it's felt nice the last couple of times playing.
Really easy to shape and hopefully will keep its nice dome considering the cue balls the size and weight of a ping pong ball
