ooo Mike, it's my birthday soon and I like the sound of your "new and improved 'phut'" ...

JoeNut ... RG actually asked the same question earlier in this thread and as I replied then ... www.WelshPoolTrading.co.uk do not actually pay me for plugging their fabulous cues ...

although, if I also mention Mike's great website is www.HandMadeCues.com hopefully I'll get a discount if I've got enough pennies in my piggy bank to order one of his fantastic Shark series for my birthday ... the ones with the "new and improved 'phut'"

well loopy, as I think you might have guessed, I keep mentioning www.WelshPoolTrading.co.uk for the simple reason, I am delighted with the Welsh Dragon I bought from them last October ... I call her Merlin by the way - and yes I know Merlin is normally portayed as a "him" but she's only a legend so if I want to call her "her", that's my perogative isn't it

I'm happy to keep mentioning www.WelshPoolTrading.co.uk simply because I received excellent advice, a fine cue and top-quality service from Paul (Bitter on this forum) ... I personally think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better cue hand-made in the UK for such a good price ...

I love Merlin and I have no real justification for even thinking about buying an MW Shark from www.HandMadeCues.com ... well except I'm getting old, my eyes don't work so well and my bones creak more as the years go by ... so, if I'm going to do it, sooner rather than later seems sensible ...

that's not to say Merlin would be left neglected ... currently I use my very first cue, a Cannon Scorpion for UK 8-ball and Merlin for snooker and that seems to work very well ...

if I do decide to buy a Shark for my birthday, Merlin will be my cue for UK 8-ball (actually played 4 frames with her this week and hit every finish) and my new Shark would be my snooker cue ...

not sure what I'd do with my Scorpion though - would give it to a niece or nephew but I don't have any ...

You could always do like the little bloke in the KitKat advert does only instead of shouting "BOOP" shout "PHUT" im sure you and your cue would draw the attention then

Mike, how much would you charge extra for a "Phump" when the lock is thighten?

This would set me for the game when the cue is jointed.

Or maybe the Star Wars lightsabre sound when you move the cue???
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

Oh man dont give me ideas!i think a nice loud boom when screwing it tight, then lightsabre. (smack is the sound of the balls firing into the pockets) "game on" "boom" "zoom" smack, "swish" smack, thanks for the game "phut" Hmm the mind boggles with possibilities
