  • question about snooker rules

    Here a strange situation

What happens if player A misses a ball and lefts it on the edge of a pocket and then....when he goes to sit down and player B gets closer to the table the ball falls in?

Who committed the foul? Player A of player B ?

Don't think a foul is called unless either player actually touches the ball and it drops into the pocket. All that would happen is the ball should be replaced as near to the position as was originally in and play continues from there.

Player 'A' has left the table and player 'B' approaches, the ball falls in due to no disturbance from player 'B', no foul, the ball is replaced from where it laid.
