Just after Christmas I bought a Parris cue which I think is fantastic! Before then I used to play with a crappy Cue Craft fifty quidder which was awful. So, at the moment Parris is the best for me. Having said that though, the cues that Del Hill has made for him are fantastic quality. I have played with several at The Snooker Farm, both ash and maple, and they are dead straight and made to the same standard as any top cue maker.

I don't think Del Hill does make cues.
I think he just owns some cues at the snooker farm.

I don't make the list of top cue makers by asking Trevor White to make a cue for me.
Then again I did design it and pick all the specs.

I bet we would all pretty much agree on the same five or so makers currently
"whittling down a tree bit" as Watford so charmingly puts it, however,

I would consider myself very lucky to hear from some of our wise, young cue dealers and collectors as to what are the most prized historic cues ever made... and what makes them special ?

Del doesn't make the cues himself, he has them made by a professional cue maker who puts the 'Big Del' badge on it. He also has 'Big Del' cue cases made for him. There will be some photos of the cue's & cases on his website soon.
I suppose it doesn't matter what make of cue you have as long as you are comfortable and happy with it. Give the average club player a professional cue and they probably won't play much better with it but give a 'cheap & nasty' cue to a pro and they will still be able to play like a pro.
I wish I had the money to try out some of the other makes mentioned on here!

I would put Trevor and Mike's names there for sure.
                              There are lots of others.
