me too mate. red,black and all the colours. it is the first time i have cleared the table since i was 15. i am now 37 and have just taken the game back up after 22 years. dont know what i was thinking giving it up in the first place. crucible here i come.

im slightly disheartened again now my forms gone out the window..it only lasted a week, it had to come when my tip really needed changing...i eventually chopped the tip off and i havent played the same since!..

managed a 28 today...thats my only break! i was knocking in 50's a few days ago!

hahahaha! i had a small feeling htat you'd reply and say something like that!! haha

im playing with a new style of tip at teh moment testing one out (the pro granite) i think it might be a bit hard for my liking, might go back to the MW tips...ill give this another week and see what happens! lol if i dont hit a 50 by sunday then the tip is coming off! lol

I found the same when using the Pro Granite . Too hard . But it started off ok for the first few weeks . MW is a very good tip . I had one on my cue and then decided to try out a Kamui medium . Best tip i've used .But not much in it between that and the MW for me . But as i've just bought another couple of the Kamui that's the one staying on my cue .
Have you tried the Kamui ?

Made a 113 clearance on thursday. Been struggling to make breaks since starting to play again this season and then made the break out of no where. Since then I played on saturday night and in 5 frames I made 81, 60, 50, 47 and 44. It is true about this game being all about confidence. i know I can do it, but when you have not managed to for a while you start to doubt yourself. Practise really does pay off in the end.

Hi Neil, i tried the Kamui first off, the first one i had was fantastic and i havent had a better tip, however my second one was awful, as was my third...i tried MW, the first one was awful, the second was awesome and i had my most recent run of form with that tip...it had to be changed so i put another MW on and that was all soft and spongey so that came off and James (themayorofflair) gave me a pro granite tip to try...its extremely hard to shape! but i used the heavy grade sandpaper to shape it and since then its much better it doesnt help im cueing like a bozo at the moment! just becasue ive chopped and changed so much my confidence has disappeared again! i need a nice practice session and knock in some breaks again, i might hit up rileys tomorrow for a 3-4 hour session on my own and just play line-ups until my arms drop off...

Luke , let me know how you get on with the Pro Granite . I found that the white seemed to slide of the tip and was missing more pots than usual .

I'm surprised about the Kamui and MW tips being sub standard . I put a couple of MW's on and did not have a problem .
Hope i don't have a problem with the next Kamui , new one needed in a month or so .
