  • Played thirteen frames in two and a half hours against my mate on monday night, lost 7-6 and my highest break was 20. What a load of crap, both of us.

    • Managed my highest break with my new cue, and i think my highest match break on Wednesday evening - a 76 - missed the last red, with colours all handily placed.

                • I had an 86 yesterday. Outside of that, I've been playing rubbish snooker. Just the odd 50 or so in between 10's and 20's.

Obviously these would only be recorded if i made them in a practise frame against an opponent, or in a match (not in solo practise or line-up!).
To date (14 years later) i have filled the 50 breaks,60's,70's and 80's. i've made well over fifty 90 breaks and 65 centuries. So i still have quite a few more to make before this sheet is completed.
                          Good idea? :snooker: :snooker: :snooker:
Inevermissblue, I've got a sheet just like that. I thought my first century would be the launch pad for some really good snooker, but it's been years now and the next century still eludes me. Mind you, I've come close since: 99,98,96,95. Doh. Obviously I can talk myself out of absolutely any pot, no matter how routine it looks. Yip yip yips.

By the way, if any of you keen players wants an easy way to remember all your good breaks, why not take a look at my site at www.mysnookerstats.com? It's a pretty neat system, as a few other members on this forum will vouch. And it can help put your all-round performance level in context too.

Unfortunately, back on the original topic, my best break last week was a fairly paltry 42. I've yet to see what this week might bring, but don't we always live in hope??

Yeah mate, I downloaded your system about a year ago to my blackberry phone.
Me and my mate use it all the time now, we dont even look at the wooden slider scoreboard anymore.
It sure is great after a long session to be able to go home and call up on the website all the stats from our games.
I have found it really does give a reality check on your form and overall ability.
In fact I now strongly recommend it as a serious practice and form guide for all my coaching pupils (young and old).

Once they get in the swing of using it they all love it.
Only drawback for it is that the wafflers need to stop telling porkies about themselves, as it's all there in black and white on the website direct from their phone. :-)
Apart from that - it's great!

                            • Updates?

                              Andy,
Meant to ask you, do you have any further updates or new versions in the pipeline?

I got my wife to use the "professional" setting during my 2009 IBSF Masters World Championship matches over in India last November.
I didn't really play too well over there and went out in the last 32.
One things for sure - the reasons and faults were all logged on the website once I uploaded from Blackberry, and it was pretty apparent to even me - exactly were my deficencies lay.
                              Ouch!

Great analysis tool as well as score recorder.
It was superb to have all those TV style % stats on my games at my fingertips.
                              A real eye opener!

The plus side is that it defined the content of my next practice sessions!

keep up the good work Sir - Look forward to any further bolt ons or enhancements,
                              Cheers

                              • Stevie,

Thanks very much for the vote! As for current plans, the focus is all on getting an iphone version available in the app store as soon as possible. There are plenty of new ideas under consideration for the various modes (and for a separate app too) but I guess I'll write about those on the site itself when the time is right!

Meanwhile, I'll report that I've played and lost just four frames all week, with nothing but a 37 break to my name, and a meagre 60% positional success rate. No coincidence that I struggle when I'm just not getting to the club enough. Wish I could be reporting some of the totals that others on this thread have been achieving though. Guess I need to add patience to my list of things to work on...
