Weeks best break

24 x2 and a 31 on a tournament spec (tight as you like!) match table. The middle bags of steel block match tables are just nasty.

One of the 24's was right in amongst them, nasty contact and the ball just died off the cushion, missed the cut back black. SO annoying.

had a 41 in the second frame of a 4 hour session with a mate on Monday. Missed a cut back black (again) for 48 with one easy red left. Still happy though, highest break for a long time.

ive been extremely frustrated at work recently and i think thats annoying me with my game, i havent been able to hit a decent break for the last couple of weeks, played today and had a 31 and a 33 but other than that i ended up missing so many easy pots...

Got a 43 tonight, my highest for a while!

Got out of position but cut a tricky red into the middle and landed dead straight on the pink into the corner. Screwed back to leave me a long red, over-screwed and went tight on the cushion! Safe to say I missed the long red after that!

Not too far away, made my first 50 today. Should of made at least two more red/blacks - 4 reds were on the cushions.

last night first 5 frames couldn't get over 20, so i put my cue down, had a cig and a pint, came back and in the next 4 frames had at least 4 40+ lol funny old game.

quick fire 32 in the first frame last night, but then nothing else. Didnt play too well at all, concentration not great. Spent most of the night picking balls out of the pockets for my playing partner....he had a 54 and 3 breaks in the 40's. Damn him!

Made a nice 36 clearance tonight. Red, blue, red, yellow, then all the colours. First time I've cleared up the colours after potting a couple of reds before hand.

The second yellow was a beauty! Yellow was on it's spot but I came to far with the white, and it ended up in line with the middle pockets, with a half ball yellow needed with the rest. Now I'm HOPELESS with the rest, but this worked as I pictured it. Bit of right hand side, yellow into the heart of the pocket, cue ball round the top and top right cushion, slid underneath the green which was on it's spot by a centimetre or so, leaving a dead straight green into it's pocket.

That may sound like an everyday shot to a lot of you, but I was chuffed when it workd!

Got another 5 or 6 mid 30s tonight, I'm becoming more consistent! The practise is paying off at last!

Typically now the season is finished I've hot form. IN the past week or so I've had breaks of 56, 48, 40, 39, 36 and a few 32s
