The only thing i will say , is that it's not good 2 blokes trying to play snooker with hangovers . Especially at my age

Still feel rough this morning ...... 2 bottles of Red wine and half a bottle of port ....what did i expect . As long as my gout does not come back , i should be ok !
Yep, Neil hammered me. I had a stinking hangover and was missing balls all over the shop. Sounds like you had a quite night compared to mine Neil
I didn't have much luck either. One frame was a respotted black and neil won the toss and put me in, so I said to Neil I was going to cut it in. I put the white on the green spot and potted the black off its spot using bags of right hand side. Now try and work this out, the white came back up the table and went in the yellow baulk pocket yes the yellow pocket.
Anyhow well done Neil, can't wait for the re-match.

    • ive been on fire in practice today...

      had a 46, 39, 43, 33, 31, 30, 25, 27, 25, and then the biggest 54

infact i had so many breaks i actually made a note of them in notepad on my iphone lmao

then played james and could only hit a 21? lol

im cueing quite nicely at the moment just stroking the balls in but come to the match against james and i was awful, i think james had a 56 which i think was the highest break of the day so neither of us were in great form but still i should of hit a bigger break than 21 lol...
what a frustrating, yet addictive game this is....

I've never seen anyone cut in balls like you do Peter . I would never dream of cutting them in . And as for the Black , i bet you could not do it again if you tried .
Not sure about the re - match .........reckon you will come out all guns blazing !
Oh yeah.......you make your own luck in this game .........but i did have some run

See you soon mate and thanks for the hospitality at your club , really enjoyed it even with a hangover .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Well isn't that what you would expect using "bags" of right hand side ???

          • Thats what I was thinking Lol I'd expect te White to go close at least using right hand side!

            • off course I'd expect the white to go there thats why I play the shot that way, so if I miss the black it normally go's safe. still bad luck to go in off from that kind of shot. So thats by break -7

              • Played 6 frames of snooker today. 54 in second and 30 in fourth. I played good overall game, decent safeties as well.

Mate also wanted to play a 20 minute english billiards match and I said ok. Won that too with a high break of 13...

                • Played 1st league match last night after a coaching session with John Woods at Kings Cross Hurricane Rooms on Sunday .

73 in the 1st frame .missed a 6 foot red with 4 reds left on the table . Knocked in a 39 in the 2nd frame . I think the coaching may well have helped . Highest break in a match . There is life in the old dog

We won 5 - 1 and one team mate had a 44 and the other a 51 . Both breaks could have been more as well . Best team performance ever by a country mile .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

                  • Neil, you are not an old dog yet. Only wish that I could play as well as I did in my forties.

Well done in your matches, some good stuff there.

I seem to have taken a few backward steps in the last week.

It helped me going to a coach . You won't believe how going back to basics has improved my game .
Keep your chin up mate ....trust me i know how frustrating it gets when you play bad .

                          • Hi guys.

Just come across this thread and seeing as Liverpool's Clayton Humphries (15years old) is far to modest to post his achievements over the last few days, as his coach, I feel compelled to do it for him.

A day after making four tons in one session, Clayton beat his previous high break (140) with a 142.

                            Well done Clay.

                                Well done Clayton Humphries.
