Christmas eve i played very well with my new cue that i have only played a dozen frames or so with..was on 98 and missed the green aff its spot was raging ! but made a mense the very next frame when i made a 112 clearance..and all with my new cue...

So as maybe some of you know, I just started really playing snooker again this year 2010, after about an 8 year layoff, im only 27 years old and my best days playing were when I was 14 to 18 then the club I played at closed and everyone stopped playing.

As I got older and made money I could afford to play but I was always away working in the bush, now that my wife is finished school after 7 years and we have a normal life where I don’t work in the oil fields no more, I have starting playing more and more. I by no means am playing my best snooker but I feel at times that I have the ability to play better then ever, then there is times when my form just falls apart, so I have spend most of this year starting over from the basics and watching allot of couching videos and spending time alone with my video camera watching my stroke and form and trying to make improvements.

I was out playing a match with a friend today and I wasn’t playing well, I was potting well but wasn’t scoring like I know I can, so when we were done I stayed and did some line-ups so that I could get a feel of what was going on and I had my video camera on, and low an behold I made a 147 , the table I was playing on wasn’t the smallest pockets but the table plays so ****y because there his divots in the spots an the balls jump an its just a nightmare to play on, so im encoding the video now so it fits on you tube and ill post a link ASAP.

I am asking any of the coaches out there to watch the video even know its a 147 I feel im doing things wrong, I know I got a small twitch in my stroke at times when im playing bad its more of a confidence issue, but if you see things I can work on let me know.

78 & 74 as well as plenty of 30s and 40s during the last week. Pretty happy with that, like us all, just need more consistency.

on another note, i went out and put about 1.5hrs practice in today and i had 14 pink 1 black, and missed an easy yellow, then the vary next time, i made 15 pink 15 red and the colors....now i just have to take it from the practice table to the match table....im going to put the video on my youtube chan.... www.youtube.com/wayner147

Had a 52 with my new TW today, not great but overall happy with the session, was playing a real grinder who loves to win at any cost in any way. You have to be really disaplined as it so easy to start throwing your cue at every thing just to liven up the game. The tip is not that good either so happy so far.

finally managed to get over my mental hurdle of making a 25+ break in the byfleet to get myself registered....i dont know why but every thursday ive been struggling to do it, i know it sounds stupid because i make loads of breaks above that in tournaments and practice matches but can never seem to do it in the league... i think its because of the people we play....like all the balls are always safe and i just win through safety and potting and running etc...but this time, i had a half chance, slammed a red in, landed plum on the black and made myself a nice 31 break....again i know its only 31 but thats a massive break in my mind, its been a brutal psychological hurdle of recent months...im so glad to have finally overcome it now and cant wait to do it again next week..

had about 7 breaks over 30 today..... highest 37, about 4 32's, then my 31 int he league match and another 31 in practice just before the game...
