  • made a 93 saturday was gutted as there was 118 on would of been first century of 2011, luckily i made a really solid 124 the very next frame i was playing my dad who was very much a spectator throughout the session as i was really playing somewhere near my best.

    • 49 in my league match this week. Brown to black left on their spots, missed cued a straight brown intending to screw back for blue into the centre! White Jumped straight over brown and went in yellow pocket. Never mind.

      • 35 again yesterday

Potted red, then black, then cleared the colours.

So frustrating how inconsistent I am.

        • After playing our league match in the Denaby & District snooker league last night.Me & a team mate had a frame.I broke off & my team mate compiled a break of 144.Absolutely outstanding,it was his first century break witnessed. The person who made the break is Mark Beale from Mexborough.Fantastic

          • blah, im on the brink of hitting a bit of form again after playing badly for quite some time...i changed my tip last night as i think i realised why i was playing so badly...i think its because i prefer a flat-topped tip as opposed to a rounded tip, i noticed that my old tip, the walls were slightly caved in and thus almost going into a point at the end (although the end was flattened)

i put a new tip on, and have made sure the edges are dead straight and i was potting balls off the lampshade... first frame i palyed wiht the new tip, after not even shaping it i managed a hard-earnt 28 break, nothing special i know but the way ive played recently and where the balls were it was a good break...

next frame i had a 32, the next frame i had a 23 and a 24, then the final frame i had a 43...all against this other guy who isnt the best of standards....however i find when you play people who arent brilliant, you tend to never get left a shot and all the balls are safe so all breaks i made were hard work!
what a frustrating, yet addictive game this is....

perhaps it's something they're adding to our water Luke, cos I smashed my previous HB at Riley's Staines this evening ... up from 27 (last 6 colours) to 37 (5 reds, 3 blacks, a blue and a pink)

was just in rileys staines a minute ago....played my mate...15 frames, finished 8-7 to him in the end...

was utter ridiculous standard... HB of 29. which was from me. lol, he didnt even make a 20 break! was just horrible! the tables were running horrible, the cushions were dead, the table was slow, so much debris on the cloth was a nightmare!

nevermind, new tip is well and truly bedded in now and i started off terribly...i went 6-3 down to pull it level at 7-7 and then the last frame was awful, definitely would of been a re-rack but because we only had 20 mins of light left we carried on playing...by the time the light finished my mate had just potted brown for frame ball i required one snooker and the pink and black were a massive target...light went out and that was it basically....

shame! although HB was 29, i managed to have about 3 28's, 2 25 clearances - which is not brilliant but hey at least im making something at the moment, thats better that what i could say a few weeks ago!!!

                  • YES!

just knocked in my first 50 + break in a long time...lol

52 - i think the reason why im not making as many of them recently is 1) because im not cueing as good - 2) because im not playing on the riley's tables as much and am playing on the club table with really tight pockets (almost star equivalent)...

so im over the moon to of hit a 52 and now hope that will continue

also had breaks of 32, 29, 27, 2x26 and 25...so yeah, 52 was a bit of a jump up from 32 but i just played a risky hard shot on the pink to middle instead of black, split a cluster of 3 reds up and took then as well...break only stopped after a nasty kick on 52 stopped the cue ball about 2 inches away from ideal position, tried to take on a plant instead that wasnt on and just squeezed it to the near jaw....who knows how many it could of been had i of got hte plant...nevermind!!

How do you mean it was his first century break witnessed?

Do you mean all his other centurys have not been made against an opponent?

                      • have had an absoloute barrage of breaks today! including another 2 50+ breaks to add to my tally!!

                        HB today: 59, 51, 49, 42, 41, 36, 32, 27, 27, 25

i had a feeling a bit of form was just around hte corner, i still feel like i can play a bit better though i just dont feel like im focusing enough like im lacking concentration sometimes i need to get in the zone a bit more...
