haha your not wrong, was a great break! should of had a few more too a couple of days previous to this knocking in a number of 80's and 90's but the final nudges were being horrible so to watch this was great!
what a frustrating, yet addictive game this is....

    • Ran a 134 tc today and trust me, these days that's good LOL. One thing that is a worry tho, my eyes are shot. Anything over 8ft+ away is blurred and I'm seeing double. Seems to get better as I play more and more. In amongst the balls I'm fine. But it is a worry. Opticians test in SpecSavers on Friday!

            • I go by the name as I like to play shots that very few people can manage ! I must admit that the 132 break was quite restrained by my standards but I was keen to make a total clearance on camera & reigned myself in. I must be maturing in my old age ?

I will endeavour to post some flair shots / breaks in the coming weeks to back up my nickname !

                  Thanks mate.

I know I need to keep positive and enjoy the good days when they come.

                    • Do I detect a hint of sarcasm 'inoffthered' (great name by the way) ?

Maybe my comment came across as a little arrogant but I do feel justified given other people comments about my game (Ronnie O'Sullivan included many years ago) & the fact I currently hold the world record for clearing the colours off their spots.

I do not claim to be a great player as I am crap in tournaments (probably mainly down to the way I approach the game) but I like to play a certain way, hence the nickname.

I can see from your posts that you are obviously a good player, quite probably better than me, even with your dodgy eyes !

The mayor of flair is intended as a fun nickname meant to bring a smile to peoples faces (along with the way that I like to play snooker).

However if its draws criticism from some people............whatever !

I may start off a new thread in the coming months named 'the mayor of flair's flair off !' where we can all post examples of flair. Could be interesting. Could even have voting etc.

Let's draw a line under this line of correspondence as this thread is supposed to be about 'the weeks highest break' & not whether 'the mayor of flair' has any flair or not !

Big up to everyone who posts on this forum as we all share the same thing, a love of the great game named Snooker & the wonderful people that we have met along our journey.....................

                          • Last post with regards ME honest. I do not want to hijack this thread.

Broke the record at Sky Sports studios about 6 years ago. White can be placed anywhere. Had a ten minute slot to try & break the record & was totally knackered afterwards !

Have also done it on a club table in 18.2 seconds about 15 years ago when I was carrying substantially less timber & won two tickets to the Embassy World Chapionship Final for my trouble.

On a match table it is far harder (the table used was from the Premier League & was so fast it was unbelievable) but I was lucky enough to produce on the day & managed to nick the record off Ken Doherty. It as a great day !

I am also fortunate that no-one has broken it as yet as I think 23 seconds is a pretty beatable time (I could certainly go two/three seconds faster given the chance & the opportunity to practice on match tables for a couple of months) & therefore think that someone like Ronnie could make mincemeat of it but fortunately for me he has far bigger fish to fry !

Just feel totally honoured (& fortunate) to hold a little bit of Snooker history.

Thanks for the kind comments they are very much appreciated.
