  • Blue Diamond Tips?

Quick question. Are all Blue Diamond tips the same. I see some in Brunswick packaging and some in BCE packaging. I am assuming they are all the same but just wanted to check before I buy some.

    Cheers.

Blue Diamond tips are made by Brunswick , B.C.E use their own packaging , normally a pack with either 3 or 5 tips in .
They will all be Blue Diamond tips .

learn something new... they're the type I use Jay, I find they're invariably ready to play out of the box... not too soft or hard and hold their shape needing hardly any maintenance; just the odd scuff with some medium grade sandpaper every now and again to break up the chalk that can get imbedded.

I always find it funny that people have a love for one tip or the other. I can't stand BD's, I used them at first because I couldn't get Elks so easily, then I decided on getting a box of Elks and haven't looked back since. In fact, after years of using Elks, I decided to give a BD another go and put one on my cue last week. Within an hour I ripped it off and stuck an Elk on! I won't make that mistake again, it really knocked my confidence because I just couldn't play certain shots with it.

          and now you're the same!

I did the exact same thing but in reverse, someone said that elks were softer and gave better touch/feel, so last summer I knocked one in... I've played with more responsive pool cues out of the rack; so hard it was unreal.

It seems that from the same manufacturer, there's a wide variety quality in the tips in even the same box, so we've all been victims of a bad tip at some time or other. (Ronnie comments to follow!). Boxes of 50 are surprisingly cheap.
