I was told at the Crucible that he was working with Prest, he said he could get some stuff signed for some of the autograph hunters there apparently.sigpic

It was mentioned in the worlds that ronnie was currently working with the same coach as shaun murphy.
In my opinion the person who has best improved ronnies all round game and temprement is Ray Reardon by far.
Ronnie has one of the best safety games in the business that s to ray and it has improved him immensly as a player...Rocket Ronnie Rules!!!

World Championship 2004
And with Ray Reardon Ronnie had a brilliant next season were he won:
Grand Prix 2004
Welsh Open 2005
The Masters 2005
The Irish Masters 2005
PREMIER LEAGUE 2005
Hes never had a better season, although he was very consistent the season before last too."You can shove your snooker up your jacksie 'cos I aint playing no more!" Alex Higgins.

Indeed
I too beleive Reardon had the most significant (positive) impact on ROS game. However, i do notice ron leaning in more on his shots, this could be why his long game is not what it was as hes not getting right through the cue ball like he used to.

And even if it were so...for young players who need to develop consistency and make a style their own the assistance of one coach is of the essence, when the basics of the game are learned. For someone who has been an established pro for 17 years things are totally different.
What on Earth is disrespectful about that? If there are contracts signed without a clause of exclusiveness...or any contracts at all.
I suspect that this adjective, 'disrespectful', has become a reflex for some people when associated with certain players.
Would it be disrespectful for a university student to ask two professors for assistance? Confusing for the student,maybe... But disrespectful?S.P.I.L.F.

Where do you go practice?
Do you play seriously?
I split my practice between a couple of clubs, usually Chalks, Regal Snooker and Cue Club in Leeds.

Hi all, Just to clear all this up I hope.
In between my match with him and Mark Allen I heard that he ask Nic to help him.
Ron saw Nic at the Academy and ask him to help. Thats after Steve Priest was with Ron when we played!
Ronnie needed a quick fix by the sounds of it so why not try something new.
He didn't miss much against me in the balls but he was struggling big time on the long shots so it helps sometimes to get a new outlook on things.
IMO he is his own worst enermy on things like that, just a bit low on confidence on long pots.
As for when he was with Reardon, he had the safety game then as it is today but didn't want to use it back then. I think Ray just gave him a different outlook on the game. Ron found it a challenge to win with his safety instead of just potting!
Well, thats my little rant over and done with!
