wuaaa haaaaahaaaahaaaa.... sorry mate. each maker makes good and not so good ones, but the "not so good ones" by parris are much below the standards given by others.
personal choice most of the time, but there are MANY people who don't like parris that much as his fans...

Ye, anyone who knows the market thesedays will say the same, paying for the badge and the ronnie endorsement. If you want a good Parris cue, buy a used one, unless you're a pro; in which case they'll probably go the extra mile and make sure its a good one.
It was a costly and time consuming experience for me personally
how can u have that opinion without properly trying out other makes?
cos just like anyone else he is biased...i personally prefer the idea of a trevor white than a john parris... but roy wont be swayed, and i think he deliberately clings to the parris choice because there appears to be so many on this forum that favour trevor.

id like to think im not biased. i think he sways to parris because thats the cue hes using?
ok.. so how many cuemakers have crafted a cue for you (or roy)?
my 1st nice cue was a north west and it was lovely, but since i got my white, its in a different league... just think that one expensive cue is enough for most folk and if it feels right then they will always qoute that individual as bein 'the best'.
This whole Parrois hating thing I think some people go too far with, for instance you get people buyign a Trevor, then the day after they recieve it they sell it. Do they say its a bad cue? No, they say its a lovely cue but it "just didn't suit them". Same thing happens with a Parris and I can't help thinking people jump on the "he made me a rubbish cue" bandwagon.
Not saying everyone is doing this as I think some people have had some genuinely bad experiences, but I just think some people are too quick to jump on the "We hate Parris" bandwagon.
This thread will be yet another full of conjecture, as people can only give opinions on the cues they have tried. There aren't many people that can claim to have owned or tried many cues from different makers, and even if you have the cue that feels bad to you might be great to someone else.
Sorry Roy but calling JP reliable based on the 1 cue you own is a bit biased lol.
All the top cuemakers can make an equally good cue.
sums up your point? im sure it does but thats assuming roy has had cues made from other cues makers correct? im afraid roy hasnt. so how can he say parris cues is most reliable without having cues or properly trying from other cue makers?
I have a parris ambasador. Good but not exceptional. Best cue I have ever had was a no name ash cue probably made in china. Used it for ten years till it was stolen at a tourney.
