  • Weird shot

In the "30 years of the World Championships" video - e.g. at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pbqZC8lCaU , there's a very strange shot played at about 1:42 (just after John Parrott looking quizzical) - the white hits the jaws of a baulk pocket, and flies off the table. Anyone know who played the shot, and what they were trying to do?

    Tks.

It looks like he was snookered on the yellow and played it at pace to leave distance between cueball and yellow.

Yes, think it must either be that, or he's snookered himself on the yellow with the frame safe so is trying to pot it. Would still like to know who's played the shot...
