I think he could win another title, but I doubt he will win another world championship, as he doesn´t seem to be playing consistent for long enough time now.
Afraid 2 say yes, not nice 2 say coz he's still competing in the top 16 however think this cud be coming 2 an end ! Been playing 20 odd years, eyesight lacking IMO and no hunger 2 win just seeing it as a chore and getting 2 dissapointed when he misses easy 1s ! Best thing he cud do is have a year off relax & get his appitite 4 winning back, strangely hard 2 do when u ve been there n done it ! Then he may never get the ranking points back anyway ! so enjoy every frame and carry on for years playing coz u want to or bow out while still in the top 16 !!
I thought he had a couple of tournaments left in him after his performance in the 2008 WSC but since then he has been pretty poor for the most part of the seasons and you can't really win stuff without being consistent these days.
Well if someone gonna fullfil promises of those 15 tournaments a year, he might win a few then - today's guys are not too greedy, max 2 titles per year per person or so

lol
yes can you imagine 15 rankers ????
that really does sound far fetched but hope they get it up to 10 at least.

You have a good point there about his hunger to win. For the last ten year he has had nothing left to prove in the game, as he has nearly all records that really matters. When O´Sullivan, Higgins and Williams are interviewed thery are all talking about winning more of the big tournaments, probably because they compare their results with Hendrys. If Hendry started saying that he had underachieved, it would be a bit ridiculous, as he has set the standard for many years to come.

I think Hendrys problems are all in his head. His technique is still good enough to win titles.
I agree, a long time ago he was feared by anyone who played him, now it is him who is frightened, not so much of his opponent, but due to his standard of play being so poor compared to what it was at his peak. :snooker:
I've often wondered how he stays in the top 16? I think the ranking structure should try and bring players through the ranks more, not let players that had a good season a few years back hang around and automatically get first round places in evey torn on the calender.

Another whine post about rankings. How do you explain that Ken Doherty was number 4 in the rankings once and after next season he was number 44? Or is there some secret system for some players to protect their place in the top 16?
Hendry has done enough to stay in the top 16 and last season he was looking over his shoulder all season (but then did well in WC), he might drop after this season also but it demands that players behind him do enough to drop him out (he might have another ideas though, especially if he maintains last afternoon's standard).

It wasn't a whine. I was mearly voicing my opinion, that is what this place is for after all. I don't think there is a secret system but getting points for turning up to a first round match seems wrong to me.
If I'm correct didn't only get to 1 semi-final last year?
