Im looking for some advice as I am planning to go to the Crucible this year, I have never been so not to sure about where to get tickets from.

So, what I would like to know is

    1) where can I get tickets from and roughly how much would they be for a early round session.

    2) Any good hotels close by so I dont have to drive.

I guess thats all I need to know for now so thanks in advance for any forthcoming.

    1) As far as obtaining tickets goes, have a look at this article on worldsnooker site: http://www.worldsnooker.com/world_ch...42.htm?tid=154

Not all matches will be sold out by pre-booking, but the more lucrative more likely will be from past experiences.
If you don't get the desired matches you need to regularly check the Crucible's hotline (or whatever it's called) to get hold either of the returned tickets or other non pre-booked tickets.
Have a good look at the pre-booking form. I believe you can write down alternative matches if you don't get your priority ones.

I don't have personal experience with Worlds so someone else will have to give you more detailed information.

Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman
