Straight cue?

I wonder how the best way to judge if a cue is straight or not?

Hold it by the butt, look down the length of it with your eye and rotate the cue.

Do not roll it on the table, can make bent cues look straight and straight cues appear bent.

Yep - even if its slightly bent you will notice a bulge as it rotates (just remember to keep both eyes open)

I did that and my cue is now officially straight as a roundabout.
