whats this joint?

Hi,
I havent being playing snooker all that long and I was given a butt of a John Higgins cue but I don't know what the joint is. If I could put a picture up I would but I dont know how yet lol.

I'm quite sure it's a powerglide cue (although the emblem is missing) and it's the male end but there is no screw thread. I could really do with knowing what the joint is called and where I could get a shaft to it because it seems a shame to waste a good cue.

Sounds like a 1Klik joint if it has no threads.
If you are in Stoke, take it to Tony Wilshaw Cues on Waterloo Road, Burslem who will take a look at it for you, and if required make you a shaft to suit.
