  • 99 Breaks

Stephen Hendry has compiled the most number of century breaks. But which player has compiled the most number of '99' breaks/clearances?

Logically it should be Stephen Hendry.

Hendry has always had the mentality that the century is what matters, seems like somebody like Jime White would be most likely due to maybe playing reckless shots when the frame is won to entertain the crowd.

Do you have the info who it is actually?
Actually its not obvious its a top player cos it about exactly 99 break if it was about breaks over 90 but lower than 100 then yes but not so sure of this

99s ain't normally counted... count ice-creams instead for 99s instead.

No. It's just that in cricket, they keep the stats on players who have been out when on 99 runs. Just wondered if the same was done in snooker. i.e. a player reaches 99 either as a clearance or misses the ball to get 100.
