I was looking at these cues a while ago on ebay, although sum of them look very nice i have heard a lot of rumors abot them, they usually come from canada or hong kong and the splices are usually not straight all different sizes but to play im not sure, could u post the link of this cue were u got it so u i can take a look please.

If I saw one in person or bought it from a reputable seller who you know is showing you the actual cue, I think 50 for the package is a good price for someone starting out in the game.
Problem with the Chinese / Canadian ebay sellers is every picture looks suspiciously similar... So who knows what you will actually end up with? They are never going to be the best quality ever, some of them sell for around 30 pounds shipped and the sellers are still making a profit, but they are certainly better than the kind of cues you find in sports shops nowadays.
If it were me I'd save up a little more and buy from an established cue maker or buy something second hand off Ebay, but for the package for someone just starting out they arn't that bad.sigpic A Truly Beakerific Long Pot Sir!

Most the the JX etc. cues are spliced (though I've come across the odd one that isn't ), one of the issues is they generally only come in heavier weights from 19-20oz, though again you get the occasional one while listed as one weight turns out to be lighter.sigpic A Truly Beakerific Long Pot Sir!

theyre good value if u want it for a beginner cue , or only want a decent hittin cue for a yr or 2. any longer, and wood, problyn wont last that long. altho, having said that, mine ive had for 2 yrs n r still great to play with. oddly enuf, re sell value here in aus. for these cues r not bad, as, theyre so cheap compared to anything else u can get in shops.
its good if u dont know wat u want yet, but wanna practise mine r MYX ones. i giv them the thumbsup for value n money :P
