    Terry
That is extremely unlikely to happen. I gather some olive branches are being proferred! Anyway EASB is still the governing body for England and IBSF membership isn't relevant to the PIOS I don't think.

WE head off to the next PIOS a week today and hopefully during the course of PIOS 6 we'll get some definite answers to all the outstanding questions.

      Hi Terry,

Yes Sir I do remember you from Reardons many moons ago!

Re: Your question of there "being a problem with the Scottish Snooker Association"?

      No there is not:
Scottish Snooker Ltd has been the NGB for Snooker in Scotland for nigh on 9 years now.
Chairman is Mr Alec Cameron and Secretary is Mr Frank Hamilton.
      website is: www.scottishsnooker.co.uk

The only problem is that some "self appointed" saviours of the world are currently trying to convince all and sundry that they are the NGB up here in Scotland.
      Which is NOT the case.
As the former Chairman, I can assure you of that.

Scottish Snooker Ltd have just sent the qualifying players to play in the ETC and Euro U19 event in MAlta next month and will continue to send players to European and World events through the EBSA and IBSF as it is they who are the official NGB for Snooker in Scotland.

      THIS IS FACT:

Therefore: If you know of anyone wishing to play at NGB level with the desire to progress and play for their country, then please encourage them to contact www.scottishsnooker.co.uk
      or email "scottishsnooker147@yahoo.co.uk"
where they will be given the facts required to play within their NGB - THE PROPER ONE!

      Cheers

        Current regime

Main tour - 13 players have attended every event thus far, 23 have participated in total over four events. Many are juniors, one is a girl.

Masters (40+) - 5 players have attended every event, 12 have participated in total, again over four events., the last three events have had six players.

U21's - four names on list, no events held.

U19's - four players have attended every event, 11 players in total have participated, the last theree events have had 5 or fewer players.

U16's - 7 players have participated in every event, 10 in total.

U14's - 5 players have participated in every event, 10 in total.

Ladies - 2 players have participated in every event, 5 in total.

Billiards - one event held, 3 entrants.

A total of 74 participants in all events.

Compare this with "the saviours" events.

The last main tour event had 56 participants.

The last masters event had 22 participants.

The first U21 event details are not avaialable yet (was sat 20th Feb)

The last U19 event had 20 participants.

The last U16 event had 14 participants.

There does not appear to have been an U14 event yet.

The Billiards (my own game of choice) I believe has been a shambles.

The Ladies I do not think has yet taken place.

112 participants from only the last event in only four categories.

Please note, I have quickly grabbed these numbers from the websites while writing this, whilst they may not be bang on (I hope they are) it is only typos, the gist is correct.

As far as participation is concerned, there seems to be a very serious problem with the so called NGB in that they cannot attract players to their events yet another organisation in a very small country can, can this all be due to rumour and heresay or is it the case that there is no smoke without fire I wonder?

The cueists of Scotland appear to have spoken with their feet, a minority will remain for whatever reasons but, guess what, "the saviours" look like they are sending players to Malta also.

So lets hope an honest election gets held and the majority of players get what they want, then hey presto, an investigation by an auditor, repercussions wherever necessary, a line drawn under this sorry time for the game in our country and we can all move on be successful and grow again.

This is on the front page of scottishsnooker.com

          "

          MALTA!! HERE WE COME !

Following an influential, hastily arranged meeting in Stirling on Wednesday afternoon, we have secured additional places for our players in the European Team & Under 19 Championships in Malta.

We received confirmation by telephone on our way to a meeting with Sportscotland on Friday afternoon.

We are delighted with this latest development as the players deserve to be there on merit.

The following players have qualified for the nominations:-

MEN’S TEAM: Scott Mackenzie, James McBain and Robert Stephen.

MASTERS TEAM: Paul Jamieson and Scott Hughes.

UNDER 19s: Anthony McGill, Michael Leslie, Eden Sharav and Ali Bayne as the reserve player

All the players have been informed of their position and we await their formal acceptance.

Details of assisted funding will be confirmed within the next few days"

Isn't it terriffic to see ex main tour pros supporting events in their own country, could there be a greater endorsement of the people running these events than to have such players gracing them?

It would be great for the "NGB" players to watch these guys as it could only improve their games.

This looks like good news for Scotland in the "Auld Enemy" cup in future.

Just a wee update looks like "the saviours" have had 92 individuals play on the main tour vs the "NGB" having 23.

40+ "saviours" has 23 players vs "NGB" 12.

            U19s "saviours" has 31 vs "NGB" 11.

            U16s "saviours" 23 vs "NGB" 10.

From these simple facts it looks to me like "The Saviours" are more aptly named than the "NGB".

139 individuals vs 56 in these categories?

Granted some categories have not run yet but I'll let the site members decide based on these tournament attendances, who is really running the game "for the good of the game" in Scotland.

I am not involved in the running of either set of events but I know which set I'd be playing in if I was going to play. There is clearly a problem with the "NGB", thank goodness for "The Saviours".

            No "heresay" here, only facts.

I hear Bobby Cruickshanks is now banned from the NGB website and you may very well ask why, well below is your answer. Bobby had the temerity to reply to David Shands post.

Shandy, answer me this why do you continue to support alec and stevie as directors of our company when you know they are not the choice of the majority of the members to be running the company

Do you not think that the members should decide who runs the game in scotland

if you really cared about the game you would be playing with us. the majority. and respecting the wishes of your fellow member. you and your mates are responsible for dragging our game into the muck well done (and i wont appologise for the cheap shot)

              I dont expect an answer

If anyone has anything to say, they will only be heard on .com
