  • Who have the first 147 LIVE on TV

We had a chat in the 147 snooker club here in Wexford today....

We had the very first 147 break LIVE on TV....

Was James Wattana 147 LIVE on TV

I think Stephens Hendry the fisrt player to have the BREAK LIVE on the TV

I know Steve Davis 147 was not LIVE....

    Emmmmmmmmmm:snooker:

I think i'm right in saying that John Spencer almost got this record but unfortunately the camera crew were having a tea break at the time.
After 15 reds and 15 blacks i did this http://youtu.be/DupuczMS2o4

Steve Davis 147 was not on national TV just Granada and it was recorded so I think it was Cliff Thorburn had the first one live on national TV...Cliff Thorburn was also the first player to get two 147's in professional matches.

Incidentally Spencer was playing Davis when he got his, I felt for him after hearing this as Davis always gets the credit and it should have been Spencer had the tv crew not been on their tea break.

so Cliff Thorburn had the first LIVE 147 on the box..... but davis 147 did not go out live.

I think Jimmy's whites 147 was NOT live also

How many 147' have been LIVE on TV before the days of BBCi

                  thanks

I dunno how much live snooker was being shown in the 80's

                    But what i do know...
I was forever checking the results on teletext when i was a kid during tournaments, i remember doing it all the time cos i could'nt wait for it to be shown on tv later......
